12 March 2024 Today, European Movement Ireland (EM Ireland) launches the Can Vote, Will Vote campaign to encourage Irish people to vote in the upcoming European Parliament elections. The elections will take place across the EU between 6-9 June 2024. MEP candidates elected to the European Parliament will shape and influence the direction of the European Union for the next 5 years.
A key feature of this campaign is EM Ireland’s European Elections Information Hub, which is the go-to website for non-partisan information on the European elections. It provides details on all three EU constituencies, the candidates seeking election and the parties and political groupings they will represent. It also provides details about how to register to vote and information on checking the register to ensure you are eligible to vote.

As part of the Can Vote, Will Vote campaign, EM Ireland will be travelling around the country hosting Town Hall events. The events will be interactive expert-led panel discussions focused on the role of the European Parliament, the value of voting, and Ireland’s role in the EU. Furthermore, EM Ireland aims to increase students and young people’s awareness of the European elections and today begins hosting information stands at the Technological University Dublin, Tallaght.
On Thursday, EM Ireland will be visiting Technological University of the Shannon in Athlone and other universities in Sligo, Blanchardstown, Cork, and Waterford on later dates to promote the elections.
