European Movement Ireland champions a fairer, values-led Europe—sparking public engagement, challenging indifference, and standing up for democratic values through inclusive and informed dialogue. 

Democracy doesnʼt defend itself. At European Movement Ireland, we stand for a Europe thatʼs progressive, inclusive and committed to its values. We promote agency, confront misinformation, and rally public dialogue in defence of democratic ideals. We believe Ireland can be a powerful force for good in the EU, and that starts with an informed, engaged society.  

We campaign in support of European values in Ireland, inspiring action, and holding ourselves and the EU institutions to account, in pursuit of these ideals.  

We counsel and guide people and organisations seeking greater understanding, participation and influence in policy and decision-making in the EU.  

We connect people, communities and organisations in Ireland to align and mobilise their engagement with the EU, its values, and its democratic institutions. 

We are a team of passionate connectors, campaigners and advisors who, for over 70 years, have championed and nurtured Irelandʼs active participation in the European Union and the values on which it was founded.
