[UPDATED FRIDAY 27 MARCH]
As you will be aware, the Government announced that it will extend and increase current restrictions in place due to COVID-19 until a later date of Sunday 12 April (with school closures extended until Sunday 19 April).
Once again, I would like to reiterate that the health, safety and well-being of our team, our members, colleagues and wider community, are our main priorities. As a result we will be following HSE Ireland’s best practice guidelines in terms of our working arrangements for EM Ireland staff. We remain fully available and continue to work with our members and stakeholders during this period through contact details listed on our website.
We will continue to adhere to Government guidance and the latest public health advice in relation to social distancing. As a result we will be increasing our digital engagement, moving events and meetings to online platforms for the foreseeable future. We look forward to hosting two online events in April. Our first event planned is an EU Jobs Webinar in which we’ll provide insights and advice to those interested in applying for #EUJobs. Our next event will see the launch of our annual Ireland and the EU Poll which we will launch as usual, this year on a new online platform. Stay tuned here for more information, follow us on social media at the links below or contact us at email@example.com .
We will also be continuing to share our publications and podcasts throughout this period, including our Just the Facts briefings, Just the Chats podcasts and ED Blogs. Watch out for our next Just the Chats podcast, Episode 8: In Conversation with Lord David Puttnam, coming soon.
Finally, I’d like to assure you all that we in European Movement Ireland will play our part in the nationwide solidarity needed to face the spread of COVID-19. This is a time for us all to look out for one another, listen to the professionals, and follow the advice and guidance of experts. I encourage you all to follow updates from HSE Ireland and the Department of Health, who continue to provide useful links and practical information during this unprecedented time.
We look forward to continuing to work and engage with all of our members and friends – please don’t hesitate to contact either myself or any of our team in the interim.
Take care and with best wishes,
Noelle and all the team in European Movement Ireland
