Thursday, 25 September 2025 – European Movement Ireland welcomed Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath, for a Member’s Roundtable Discussion today, discussing Irish-EU relations, the work of the European Commission and Ireland’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Commissioner McGrath’s portfolio spans the European Democracy Shield, safeguarding electoral integrity, strengthening the rule of law, protecting media freedom, supporting civil society, and upholding the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
