European Movement Ireland and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung hosted an online event, ‘Europe’s Economy in Troubled Times’.
This was the final event in the Supporting Democracy series with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in 2022. This event examined the general economic outlook for the EU and the Eurozone including a focus on Ireland and Germany. The participants discussed the impacts of inflationary challenges and energy security, outline EU and Member State responses and assessed the future of the EU economy, including future fiscal rules and economic governance issues.
These issues were examined from Irish, German and EU perspectives.
