As part of our on-going engagement strategy, EM Ireland is organising a series of thematic forums connecting civil society organisations with EU affairs. With the next EU long-term budget, the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), entering the negotiation period, it is essential that civil society is informed and prepared to engage.

The next MFF will run from 2028-2034 and will set the direction of the EU across the current mandate and beyond.

This forum will present our upcoming paper ‘Budgeting for Democracy: Ensuring Civil Society’s Place in the EU’s Long-Term Budget’, with civil society representatives invited for a roundtable discussion on their own priorities for the EU budget, as well as the opportunity to network and upskill.
