A free workshop for student journalists and all students interested in submitting an entry for the European Commission SMEDIAs Award!

The European Commission Representation in Ireland, supported by European Movement Ireland, organised a free media workshop online on Monday 1 November 2021 for third-level students from any background who are interested in applying for the 2021 Student Media Awards (SMEDIAs) in the European Commission category. Attendees got the opportunity to:

Be prepared and equipped to submit a piece for the EC Award in the upcoming Smedias competition;
Leave with the knowledge and confidence to research EU matters both for this project and into the future;
Meet with journalists, communications professionals and EU affairs experts who will give them a crash course on the EU and writing about Europe.
