European Movement Ireland is delighted to invite you and one guest to an in-person event marking your special birthday as well as ‘Celebrating how EU values have shaped Irish citizens’ lives over 50 years of EU Membership’. This event marks the culmination of our programme of events and outreach work marking Ireland’s 50 years of membership.
This event will mark the transformative impact that 50 years of EU membership on the country and Ireland’s emergence as a modern, open economy and society. It will reflect on how EU values and rights has changed Ireland and shaped Irish citizens’ lives. The Minister of European Affairs Peter Burke TD will give a keynote address and present you, as a Eurobaby, with a special commemorative coin marking your special birthday with European Movement Ireland’s CEO Noelle O Connell. The full panel of speakers for the event will be announced closer to the event.
Attendees will include other Eurobabies, politicians, representatives from embassies across the European Union, guests from across Ireland’s business and public sectors as well as young people who took part in the Government’s MyEU50 youth competition. Members of the media will also be invited to attend.
