European Movement Ireland is delighted to invite you to our Briefing on the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

We are delighted to be joined by Joe Hackett, Secretary General of the Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade and H.E. Ambassador Louis Telemachou, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Ireland.

Joe Hackett will provide a keynote address on the latest EU developments while focusing on the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU and indeed looking ahead to Ireland’s presidency in the latter half of 2026.

Ambassador Telemachou will provide an overview and set out the key priorities for the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU which runs from 1 January to 30 June 2026.
