European Movement Ireland is delighted to invite you to our Briefing on Denmark’s Presidency of the Council of the EU.

We are delighted to be joined by Minister Thomas Byrne TD, Minister of State for European Affairs and Defence and H.E. Lars Thuesen, Ambassador of Denmark to Ireland.

Minister Byrne will provide a keynote address on the latest EU developments while looking forward to the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU and indeed looking ahead to Ireland’s presidency this time next year.

Ambassador Thuesen will provide an overview and set out the key priorities for the Presidency of the Council of the EU which runs from 1 July to 31 December 2025.

This event is kindly hosted by Minster Thomas Byrne TD and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The event will be followed by a drinks networking reception for all guests.
