A free Workshop for Students Interested in taking part in the 2025 European Commission Student Media Award with a chance to win a €1000 prize.
The European Commission Representation in Ireland, supported by European Movement Ireland, is running a in-person media workshop in the new Europe House on Friday 22 November 2024 for third-level students who are interested in applying for the 2025 Student Media Awards (SMEDIAs) in the category for Journalism on European Union issues, sponsored by the European Commission.
This in-person event will provide attendees with the opportunity to:
- Be prepared and equipped to submit a piece for the European Commission Award in the upcoming SMEDIAs competition.
- Leave with the knowledge and confidence to research EU affairs both for this project and into the future.
- Meet with journalists and communications professionals and EU affairs experts who will offer insights on writing about the EU, student journalism, and pathways to a career in media.
