The Green Book
Updated annually, The Green Book: An Irish Trainee’s Guide to Living and Working in Brussels (& other nice European cities), provides practical tips and useful information on how to get a traineeship in the EU.
Chapter 1 of The Green Book offers a detailed look at all of the traineeships available with the European Institutions and Agencies, including a step-by-step guide to navigating the complicated traineeship application process with the European Commission and European Parliament. Opportunities in private organisations are also listed along with advice on writing the perfect CV and cover letter and completing a Europass CV.
For those people already successful in the stage application process, Chapter 2 of The Green Book offers a guide to life in Brussels and Strasbourg, while Chapter 3 provides information to help trainees (or stagiaires as they are called in the European system) to find a more permanent position.
