Cork – Citizens’ Dialogue on the Future of Europe

Ireland’s society and economy has been transformed by our membership of the EU, but a lot has changed since we joined in 1973. Every organisation, even successful ones like the European Union, need to go through a process of renewal. The European Union is 60 years old and it is time to start a conversation about a new vision of a Europe.

The EU is looking to its citizens for guidance on what they want from the EU and how it can work better for them. How can the EU support jobs and growth? How can it provide opportunities for our young people? What is the EU’s role in meeting the challenges of today’s globalised world, from climate change to international terrorism.

On 22 February, we will be asking people living in Munster to join this conversation and to feed into the Future of Europe process at a Citizens’ Dialogue in Cork County Hall.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and European Movement Ireland are delighted to invite you to join the Minister of State for European Affairs, Helen McEntee T.D., at a unique opportunity to discuss the role of Ireland and its citizens in the Future of Europe

We look forward to seeing you there!
