Dublin, 20 June, 2017: European Movement Ireland has today congratulated Helen McEntee, TD, on her appointment to the position of Minister of State for European Affairs.
Speaking in Dublin today, Mr Maurice Pratt, Chairman of EM Ireland, offered his congratulations to Minister McEntee: “I wish to congratulate Helen McEntee, TD, on assuming the office of Minister of State for European Affairs.”
“EM Ireland looks forward to the opportunity of working with Minister McEntee, and to playing our part in supporting and promoting civic dialogue on the future of Europe, while continuing to develop the links between Ireland and the EU.”
Noelle O Connell, EM Ireland Executive Director, also congratulated Minister McEntee on her new role, saying: “I wish to congratulate Helen McEntee, TD, on her appointment as Minister of State for European Affairs.”
“These are very challenging times as Ireland seeks to ensure the best possible outcome in the forthcoming Brexit negotiations. Ms O Connell also paid tribute to outgoing Minister Dara Murphy for his support of EM Ireland, particularly in his capacity as patron of the Blue Star Programme for primary schools.
