News: Green Book Volume 2 launches in Brussels
EM Ireland has launched the second volume of 'The Green Book: A very handy book if you happen to be an Irish stagiaire living in Brussels'.

The launch took place in Kitty O'Shea's Bar, 42 Boulevard Charlemagne, Brussels on Tuesday 27 April.
The Green Book is a collaborative effort between those currently finding their feet in Brussels and the team here at 6 Merrion Square. Updated twice a year, it is quickly becoming a Bible for new Irish stagiaires in Brussels.

This thirty-six page booklet, delivers highly practical and useful information for those fresh off the plane so that they can settle into Brussels life as quickly as possible. From tips on opening a bank account and finding accommodation, to recommendations on restaurants and hotspots for watching international football, all the basics are covered so that the first few weeks can be made a little less daunting.
Alongside this, is information on what it is like to work in the EU institutions, complete with accounts from the different departments and where the best canteens to eat lunch are. While not claiming to be a thoroughly comprehensive guide, the book provides a witty overview of the ‘stagiaire’ experience, most importantly providing a well-rounded picture of life in Brussels, both in and out of the EU system.
